Our story
Eight years of watching a family hold it together.
When our founder Avanlee Christine was young, her grandfather fell ill. For the next eight years she watched her grandmother, her parents, and her aunts and uncles all take turns caring for him by coordinating over the phone, tracking medications on paper, and absorbing the strain in the parts of their lives nobody talks about.
Nobody in that family called themselves a caregiver. They were just the people who handled it. And nothing in the healthcare system around them was built with them in mind.
There had to be a better way to support the people providing the care. The technology just wasn't there yet.
Avanlee Care was founded in 2019 to build it. What started as a set of tools for families has become a platform that health plans use to reach the caregivers behind their members, the people most likely to actually get a screening scheduled, a prescription filled, or a wellness visit onto the calendar.
We are headquartered in Billings, Montana, which is not an accident. Caregiving in a rural state means long drives, thin provider networks, and families covering distances that would be unthinkable elsewhere. If it works here, it works.
